Integrated Telehealth Partners (ITP)
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, Dec. 3, 2024 - Integrated Telehealth Partners (ITP), a national provider of behavioral health services, earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for telehealth accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects ITP's commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
ITP underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review in November 2024. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with telehealth standards spanning several areas including patient privacy, medication management, documentation, hospital partnership commitment, and patient-focused care.
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
“As a healthcare accreditor, The Joint Commission works with healthcare organizations across care settings to inspire safer and higher quality of care that is more equitable and compassionate,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, The Joint Commission. “Through collaborating on innovative solutions and evidence-based resources and tools, The Joint Commission helps drive improvement while maintaining accountability through our leading survey methods and standards. We commend (organization name) for its commitment to advance safety, quality, equity and compassion for all patients.”
Because of its culture of quality care, ITP invested in a diverse variety of clinical resources and leadership collaboration to ensure that each required accreditation element was not only fulfilled but also exceeded beyond the standard requirements. ITP has a reputation for focusing on and placing high-quality patient care above all else. Their transdisciplinary approach to preparation enhanced the team's ability to conduct root cause analysis and ensure that they uphold standards of practice and compliance expectations throughout the organization. By focusing on the intent of each standard and reviewing its policies, procedures, and clinical documentation, new measures were seamlessly incorporated into day-to-day work as the Joint Commission's criteria mirrored ITP's dedication to quality that has been delivered to ITP's patients and communities since 2010.
"Quality patient care is the top priority at ITP, and this national accreditation means we continue to meet the highest standards," said Doug Wilson, president of Integrated Telehealth Partners. "We are proud to be recognized as one of the world's top telehealth companies and are so grateful for our incredible team of healthcare workers who choose to be committed to excellence every day."
